Prepackaged compassion for the lazy pastor

We live in a day when there are some great resources out there that can help pastors in their ministry. One of the recent releases called “Ministry Letters “ is really helpful to the lazy pastor who hates to communicate with his congregation. This collection of pre-packaged letters is great for pastors when people in their congregation die or have an illness in their family and they just don’t have time to be bothered. My only problem is that I don’t think the promotional on their site does the product justice. Here is how they describe their product.

It’s that easy with Ministry Letters!

Use this powerful software program to locate just the right letter to send, and begin to encourage people in ways you never dreamed possible!

Great for Stationery or EMail!
Save Time & Money”

Letters for things like “Thank You For Service In Church” & “We Miss You (Church)” & “Death of Elderly Saved Parent” or “We Miss You (Sickness)” or “50th Wedding Anniversary” or “Anniversary of Divorced Person” or “Death of A Child – Letter to Parents” or “Father Killed In War”

Sure, if a pastor lacks the skills to write a simple letter, they could use their money and take an English composition class. But that would be really time consuming and hard. Why go to all that trouble when there is this great short-cut.

The big downfall to this product is that the company does not have any real good personal testimonies detailing the success of this product. So if the company is looking for a better blurb, they are welcome to use the following ones I have put together.

From a pastor who uses the product:

I find that a warmly written pre-packaged letter from another pastor’s heart is helpful. Imagine one of your best tithers has just lost a mother to cancer, but you are really busy doing important things and don’t have time to write. A thoughtful quote from D. L. Moody can go a long way to help someone who is grieving the loss. And hey, by using these pre-packaged letters, I save a ton of time for the real ministry of planning events and putting together budgets.
Sincerely,
A super busy pastor

From a mom who got one of these letters:

When my young child died, it was a really tough time for me. But then I got this letter from my pastor that made me feel a lot better. Some pastors would come and visit a grieving family or send a personal hand written note. But my pastor is busy writing Bible studies and sermons. But knowing that he took the time to buy this product, search for the perfect pre-packaged letter and have his secretary fill in the blanks with my name and the name of my dead child -wow- that really warmed my heart. I loved the letter so much that I bought the whole package. Recently when my husband died, I just looked up my own letter and filled in my pastor’s name. It is so much more efficient than waiting for the mail to arrive.
Thanks
A once sad mom and widow
