2007 has been a great year of writing. I made 85 posts, and every one of them is worth reading. However, the following 10 articles best reflect my journey through 2007. They are listed here in no particular order.
- Leading with Faith: This is the first of 25 articles on leadership rooted in the DNA of covenant-community.
- The Rugged Path to Hope: This is a reflection of my own struggles to plant a church and the hope of Christ that drives me forward.
- Faith Enough to Fail: Discovering the essence of faith in Christ has been a huge part of my journey. It is easy to trust God when there is a promise of success, but how many of us are willing to followi God into failure?
- Who is the next VaTech shooter?: This event rocked the nation, but how many of us took the time to look in the mirror instead of pointing the finger of judgement?
- Mother Nature is a Sexist-Racist-Anti-Poor Bigot: Humor is a great tool to illustrate the absurdity of how statistics are abused to promote agenda.
- Conversations on the Crapper: My favorite part of this entry is the animated graphic!
- The Church In Crisis: The first in a series of extremely important posts that explore the impact of Charles Finney’s “New Measures” on the practice of church in our modern world. If you don’t understand your history, you will never understand your destination.
- The Message Is NOT a Bible Translation: The first in a series of articles that exposes the deceptive marketing strategy of the Message and the danger of trusting a commentary as Scripture.
- Meet the Metrospiritual: The first in a series of posts that explores the trends that are shaping the spiritual life of the people in my community.
- The Night Before Baby: An original poem to announce the birth of my third son.

I think “The night before baby” is my absolute favorite. Then of course it highlights the birth of our 3rd. child. How can I not love it? My next favorite would probably be “The rugged path to Hope” You have become quite the writer over the years!
