A good friend of mine was recently in a car accident with her little girl. The crash was caused by a driver who was sending a text message. The accident resulted in a demolished car and some bruises. BUT, the following real-life PSA is a graphic reminder not to text while driving and to please use a hands-free device while talking.
Stop reading newspapers, stop putting on your makeup, and I personally need to stop fiddling with my GPS.
WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC CONTENT THAT MAY ACTUALLY INFLUENCE YOUR DRIVING HABITS!

I am struck by how easy it to get our priorities all wrong.
Culture, media, and friends influence the things we value.
Sometimes the most “urgent” tasks, are really not all that urgent.
Are they?
Is reading or sending your text message really this important?
