During my first week here in Lagos Nigeria, I had the pleasure to be the guest speaker at the West African Theological Seminary (WATS) Matriculation service.  For those unfamiliar, Nigeria is rooted in the British education system and honors the start of the school year with a formal ceremony similar to a Baccalaureate service honored in the United States.

My prayer is that we will stop trying to be the “organic church” or “legacy church” and just be the “church” who lives in unity as a community of disciples seeking to share the Gospel of our King.
